When you are ready to start your juice cleanse, here are some other ways you can further your cleanse and achieve greater results.

HYDRATION

Yes you are already drinking liquids all day but you can drink water between your juices for cellular detoxification and hydration. Remember, the body is 76% water there’s a lot to flush out of your cells tissues kidneys etc..so go ahead enjoy your water. You can even add freshly squeezed lemon juice to speed up your detox process. Every tissue, organ, gland and cell in your body will use that extra water to cleanse and hydrate your entire body.

COLON CLEANSING

The colon is the main elimination channel of the body and once you stop eating solids the digestive tract takes a break and so do the bowels for most people. We strongly recommend booking yourself a colonic or doing your own at home enemas when needed to help the body release all the build up of mucus, waste and toxins. Toxins are mainly stored in the fat cells and once you start to cleanse, the body needs an outlet to expel all that extra waste and build up through the colon. If the bowels are not eliminating the toxins fast enough you could feel sluggish, have a head ache, lots of gas and bloating and even skin reactions at times. It’s the body’s way of showing you it needs to push those toxins somewhere. A colon cleanse may be the single most important healing modality you can do during your Juice Cleanse. Why not help it out and get it all out? You will achieve faster, better results and your body will be thanking you.

SAUNAS

Saunas are a great way to aid the body in releasing the build up of toxins from the body. Our favorite is the Infra red Sauna and is recommended if you can find one in your local area. No more than 20 minutes every other day. Just make sure to drink a lot of water before, during and after the sauna.

DRY SKIN BRUSHING

Dry skin brushing is one of the healthier self-help methods available to us today. Stimulation of the skin sets in motion natural healing pathways within your body. Additionally, it encourages nerve beds within its structure that in turn increases normal healing processes throughout the body.

Dry skin brushing increases circulation to skin, encouraging your body’s discharge of metabolic wastes, which greatly aids the lymphatic drainage of the entire body. When the body rids itself of toxins, it is able to run more efficiently in all areas. It stimulates the lymph canals to drain toxic mucoid matter into the colon, thereby purifying the entire system. This enables the lymph to perform its house-cleaning duties by keeping the blood and other vital tissues detoxified. After several days of dry brushing, you may notice the gelatinous mucoid material in your stools.

Dry skin brushing also helps to tighten the skin because it increases the flow of blood. Increasing the circulation to the skin can also help lessen the appearance of cellulite.

Dry skin brushing can be done any time of the day or night preferably in the mornings to awaken and invigorate you for the day.

EXERCISE

Rigorous exercise is not recommended. Ideally the body needs time to catch up with itself and REST. Most of the detoxification is done while at rest. You can always substitute going to the gym with a yoga class. You can go for a bike ride, a walk in nature or even a light jog.
